PhD Seminar (Dissertantenseminar V), Krems

The good news first: Me and most of my student mates are now officially enrolled for the PhD programme at Leeds Metropolitan University. We met the first milestone! We still might have to do some adjustments to our R1’s (that is, mainly, to our research outline), but the basic setting is alright. They think that our proposals are worth being researched, that we have set realistic goals, and that our projects will lead to a (tiny) contribution to knowledge. New responsibilities are coming up now…

In Krems we spent the first day (November 30) discussing the project progress of part of our group with Johann Götschl and Erwin Bratengeyer. The second day (December 1st), Johann Götschl held a lecture on research based economy.

Last week I finally have received all the written feedback on my R1. The inputs affirm my own thoughts about having to densify the concept of the research… Anyway, I am glad to close the R1-chapter and go on to the next steps.
